As a research assistant, she analyses and synthesises scientific innovation projects in the context of national and international research funding (Horizon Europe, EU LIFE, Belmont Forum, BMBF, HGF, DFG, etc.).

Her other tasks include the development of a screening system for project funding as well as process-oriented support for the application process.

Previously, Katerina took over the administrative and organisational tasks of the GERICS secretariat.

After completing her Bachelor's degree in Asian Studies (B. A.), she worked for a mechanical engineering company for eight years, where she provided commercial support to project teams in the global sales and export of industrial equipment. During this time, she completed a Master's degree in Sales Management (M. Sc.) with a focus on business intelligence and agile approaches to sales-related process optimisation.

Now Katerina uses her expertise and strengths in the interest of climate research.
