GERICS at the symposium Hydrogeology

From March 21 to 24, 2018, the 26th symposium of the Department of Hydrogeology e.V. in the DGGV e.V. (FH-DGGV) took place at the Ruhr University Bochum on the subject of "groundwater in the environment of Bergau, energy and urban areas".

Prof. Dr. Steffen Bender and dr. Markus Groth organized the session "Groundwater and Climate Change" in cooperation with the German section of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH-D). In addition to the keynote speech by dr. Tibor Stigter (IHE Delft Institute for Water Education) on the role of groundwater in the adaptation to climate change was also intensively discussed on the topics "climate change and groundwater recharge" and "the temporal development of regional groundwater temperatures".
