The intention of the 8th Water Research Horizon Conference is to bring together scientists from various disciplines, in order to analyse the perspectives of water research with respect to the challenges and opportunities arising from the COP21 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) process – impacts of climate change and adaptation to expected changing conditions – and to develop future solution-oriented research directions from regional and international perspectives.

The main focus of the conference will be water related research challenges linked to climate change impacts at 1.5 to 2° C as well as to rising adaptation needs.

The conference is jointly organized by Water Science Alliance and Climate Service Center Germany.
